Although I ventured away from the traditional classroom, I discovered numerous ways to apply my education degree. Today, I invite you all to check out the ‘Supporting Carmel Teachers‘ group on Facebook! It’s an amazing community where teachers in my kids school district have created wishlists on Amazon, filled with essential items they need for their classrooms. By supporting these dedicated educators, you’re making a tangible impact on the future of education and helping shape young minds. I have attached wishlists here from some of the teachers, but if you visit the group on Facebook you will have access to all wishlists posted so far.
I kindly ask for your support and urge you to share this post with your friends. Together, let’s make a difference in the lives of these incredible teachers! ???? And don’t forget, there may be similar initiatives in your own district, so be sure to explore and lend a helping hand there too!
Today, I want to share a bit of my personal journey with you. Seventeen years ago, I made the tough decision to leave my teaching job. Nineteen summers ago, I embarked on pursuing a master’s degree, but after just one class, I quickly realized it wasn’t the right fit for me. At that time, my husband Patrick and I were young and full of big ideas, including the notion of flipping houses. Little did we know what lay ahead!
But before all that, when I was just 15, I spent a year answering phones at F.C. Tucker in Noblesville. Then, in the summer of 2003, I decided to take a real estate class for fun and to keep myself busy. Little did I know how much it would impact my life. Following in the footsteps of my entire graduating class, I joined Century 21 at the Crossing. However, my passion for teaching still burned within me. I spent two years job sharing at Noblesville Intermediate, cherishing every moment in the classroom before finally letting go of my teaching career. I have many of my teaching skills I learned along the way and use them in my real estate business. I have been leading the #1 all women real estate team At Century 21 Scheetz for the last 19 years.
I will always cherish my teaching days and the teachers that helped me along the way.
This is the condensed version of my personal journey, and it’s why I hold such a deep appreciation for teachers ❤️.
