Giving Confidence: A Community Effort to Make Prom Special

For nearly a decade, the Prom Dress Drive led by Stacy Barry has been helping young women across Central Indiana step into prom night with confidence.

What started as a simple idea has grown into something far more meaningful than anyone imagined.

Over the years, hundreds of generous community members have donated dresses, each one carrying its own story. And with every dress given, a new story begins.

Because of that kindness, local teens can walk into prom feeling confident, beautiful, and celebrated.

And truly… that’s what it’s all about.

A Decade of Impact

About ten years ago, Stacy Barry started this initiative with one goal: to support girls and young women in the community in a real, tangible way.

As the drive grew, Gabbie Keip stepped in to help lead and expand it, continuing to build momentum year after year.

Last year marked the biggest year yet.

Over 700 dresses were donated and gifted to local students across Carmel, Indianapolis, and surrounding communities.

700 reminders of what a generous community can do.
